There is a fine quote by one of the titans of design, the late Saul Bass. It goes like this… “Interesting things happen when the creative impulse is cultivated with curiosity, freedom and intensity.” I feel it applicable in more ways than one in having the interpretive creative freedom to design music packages that help convey the feel for what the recording artist has created and burned on a disc.
